Citizenship Amendment Bill that seeks to provide citizenship to non-muslim migrants from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan has become a burning issue in India. There is a possibility that this Bill would likely bring unpleasant and complex demographic changes, especially in the northeastern part of the country.
